Consultation & skin prep
We assess skin type, sun history and goals, and rule out anything that would raise risk. Some clients start a 2-week pigment-control prep before treatment.
Treatment day
Topical anaesthetic for 45–60 minutes, then 30–45 minutes of fractional CO₂ with cooling air. Face, face and neck, or targeted scar areas.
Days 1–7
Redness, swelling and peeling, managed with the post-care kit we send you home with. We check in at day 2 and day 7. Most clients return to work with makeup by day 7.
Weeks 2–24
Pinkness fades over 2–4 weeks. Collagen remodeling continues for up to 6 months — the result you see at month 3 is better than the one at week 2. Strict SPF throughout.

How much does CO₂ laser resurfacing cost in Coral Springs?
At GoWell, fractional CO₂ resurfacing is $700 for the face or $900 for face and neck per session, with 3-session packages at $1,900 and $2,400. Scar revision is $400 per area ($1,050 for 3). Financing is available through CareCredit and Cherry, including 0% APR options.
What is fractional ablative CO₂ laser?
A CO₂ laser uses a 10,600 nm wavelength that water in the skin absorbs, vaporizing a thin column of tissue. 'Fractional' means the beam is split into thousands of microscopic columns, leaving healthy skin between them so you heal faster. 'Ablative' means it removes the surface layer, which is what makes it the strongest resurfacing option for deep wrinkles, sun damage and scars.
How many sessions do I need?
Three sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart give the best results - each pass builds on the collagen the last one triggered. You will see a change after the first, but the smoothing of deep scars, etched lines and heavy sun damage comes with the full course. Results keep improving for 3-6 months after your last treatment as new collagen forms.
What is the downtime?
Plan on 5–7 days. Days 1–3 bring redness, swelling and weeping similar to a bad sunburn; days 3–7 the skin flakes and peels. Most clients are back at work with makeup by day 7 and pink for 2–4 weeks after. Strict sun avoidance for 4 weeks.
Does CO₂ laser hurt?
We apply a strong topical anaesthetic for 45–60 minutes and use cooling air during treatment. Most clients describe heat and prickling. The treatment itself takes 30–45 minutes for the full face.
Is CO₂ laser safe for darker skin?
Ablative CO₂ carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation on Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin. Our providers assess this at consultation; for medium-to-deep tones we often recommend RF microneedling instead, or a conservative CO₂ setting with a pre-treatment skin-prep protocol. Never without a consultation.
CO₂ laser vs RF microneedling — which do I need?
CO₂ works from the surface down and is the strongest option for texture, wrinkles, sun damage and scars, with about a week of downtime. RF microneedling works from below with 1–3 days of downtime and is safer for darker skin and better for laxity. Many clients use both: CO₂ once, then RF microneedling to maintain.
